I realize that there are many sources for most vitamins and I am afraid to take 'just anything'... there are so many variables. Is there a rule of thumb or some kind of guideline to follow when picking vitamins?
- Is OptiZinc by Solaray a good zinc to take? I was confused as to which kind to buy, as there are so many different kinds of zinc. I know that you recommend 50 mg. and this has 30mg. I was thinking of taking it twice a day or is this more absorbable and I only need 30 mg.? I can

I have a unopened bottle, unreturnable. What does 'orotate' indicate?
- I just noticed that folic acid is in 3 products that I take - there are 1200 mcg. total. Is that ok? And if I take 2 of the B12's it adds up to 1600 mcg. My book 'Prescriiption for Nutritional Healing' by Phyllis Balch says 400 - 800mcg. of folic acid a day.
It's in Vitamin Code By Garden of Life, 400 mcg. and it's in a B Complex that I've been taking, as well as a Sublingual B12 3000 mcg - 400 mcg. folic acid - made by Biochem.
