Heavy bleeding and blood clots are normal. Many of us on this site experienced the same thing with the first period after removal. I haven't had blood clots since the first period, but I have been bleeding more heavily since my Mirena was removed. I have had 3 post mirena periods so far. Hopefully things will return to normal in a few months. Tweet
