My doctor prescribed me 14 days of Fluconazole because I had an esophageal Candida infection, and that cleared it up for me.

Not sure about the gut. The best bet is to just take the 10 days of Fluconazole your doctor gave you and see if you feel any better.

The only sure way to know if you have a Candida overgrowth in the gut is to have a gastro doctor do a lower endoscopy, or perhaps take a stool test, but i've heard stool tests are not that reliable.
