Brands of Iodine companion nutrients?
What brands of
Iodine companion nutrients do people take (in the US)?
Vitamin C - (I’m looking for a good one)
Selenium - (looking for good sources)
Magnesium - (I think I've found a good one)
Riboflavin (B2)
Inositol Hexanicotinate (B3)
I’m looking for a good Vitamin C (possibly powdered form rather than capsules or tablets). I currently use fresh squeezed lemon and lime juice for vitamin C, but from other posts it appears this may not be optimum source for the
Iodine protocol especially for heavy metal removal (Lead etc). I remember reading somewhere that "L form" ascorbic acid is what the body recognizes and uses (not the "R form") but vitamin C usually comes with L and R forms mixed together. What kinds and brands do people take that get results?
For selenium - I’m using New Chapters selenium - a good product, but I’m looking for one less expensive and without herbs. Herbs are good for many things, I just don’t want it with my selenium.
For Magnesium I’m taking: Trace Minerals Research Mega-Mag. I’m very pleased with this product, it seems to be quickly absorbed, is effective, easy to take and not expensive. I first heard about this product from someone else on this forum (don’t recall who it was, but thank you!)
For B vitamins I occasionally take nutritional yeast, but this probably doesn’t provide the quantities of Riboflavin and Inositiol needed for
Iodine protocol.
For Iodine I’ve recently started taking 3 forms (see below) - now alternating and take either Magnascent or
Lugols each day plus
SSKI .
Lugols used to bother me, but now after being on magnescent and
SSKI for a while, I can easly tolerate
Lugols with no problem.
