I had a follow-up with my "iodine friendly" doctor yesterday (still trying to determine if he's really Iodine friendly, but all the research I came with thanks to Wombat and Iolite definitely came in handy...he hadn't heard of Iodine shrinking ovarian cysts). Anyways, he was pretty open minded if not all that informed. My blood tests, after about a week on Iodine, show that I am indeed hypothyroid (TSH 4.89, T3 216). He suggested Armour in addition to the iodine. I said no because I want to see how the Iodine is helping on its own, and I just don't like to be on anything more than I have to be.
But now, as I look at my hair and see that it's receding more and more (I'm dreading my hair appointment today)...and how I can't lose weight no mater what I do...I wonder if I should have taken the armour just to get me through. I can't tell from searching posts if anyone here takes Armour in addition to iodine. Or does it just muck things up more?
I'm SO sick of being brave and going out in public every day looking like this :( I'm seriously thinking I might have to get a wig. I just really need something to work. Any encouragement would really be appreciated right now.
