I am interested in Dr Jeff's response to dvjorge's post from a few days ago. I think I remember dvjorge mentioning he/she had friends that tested for good bacteria growth after doing a candida cleanse but there was no regrowth. This may be due to the use of antifungals, rather than SF722 so the candida was only inhibited, not converted to yeast and removed by the body.

"When candida mutate to its fungal form in the gut is because some damage has ocurred to the gut microbiota. Diet, antifungals, and enzymes can bring candida levels down. But, what about an effective way to recover the gut friendly ecology. Since it is demostrated Probiotic intake can not replenish the gut and they only do temporay colonization of the intestine, there isn't way to stop candida coming back after you stop the supplements. It makes sense people get better in anticandida program but as soon you stop it, candida shows again. Have you seen somebody really cured in your personal practice??"
