Wouldn't be all celebratory about it not being candida quite yet. Why not?
A) it sorta sounds like a potential tumour (although it could be benign, that is still a major pain),
B) if it is a tumour, that does not in any way exclude fungal infections, because people with tumours belong in the highest risk factor group for candida (the list being hiv/aids, cancer, transplants, mononucleosis, and receiving treatment for tuberculosis).
