Re: Is it possible I have A.F?
I have had all of your symptoms, and my doctor confirmed that I have adrenal insufficiency. The way you described the nausea... it has been exactly the same way with me. When the nausea started, I would get shaky, tremors, hot and cold chills, heart beating very fast, then very slow, extremely weak like a rag doll, disoriented and confused, limp... and then several bms would eventually make me feel better, but it takes a long time. The worst episode of this happened when I passed out over the toilet for several hours dry heaving.. I don't know how long I was passed out in the middle of the night like this, but finally my room mate called 911 when I couldn't stop shaking and wouldn't respond to him, and couldn't move any of my limbs. So I was carted off to the ER.
I've had many of these episodes that felt like adrenal crisises, in and out of the hospital. Nausea, weakness, all day fatigue, brain fog, confusion, inability to speak, shaking, ibs, bowell problems, diareha and constipation,
food allergies , malabsorption, panic attacks, anxiety, it all went hand in hand.
My dr. put me on Hydrocortisone, which initially helped for 2 weeks, then not at all... now I can't go off of it b/c it's a steroid and my body is used to it. I wouldn't suggest hydorcortisone.
What finally pulled me out of most of the misery of AF (over a year of having AF) is finding Curezone here and reading Dr. Lam's articles on his website. Starting Vitamin B/Pantathenic Acid 900 mg a day, vit C in megadoses (I take up to 9,000 mg a day, but it's different for everyone) and chromium polynicotrinate 600 mg a day has helped me beyond words. Also, resting completely has been helpful.
I suggest you look up Dr. Lam's site and write to him (it's free to ask his opnion through his "ask me" link).
