Re: Getting rid of wax on fruits

I read along time ago that a good wash to kill bacteria on fruits and vegetables is 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (The kind you get in the drug store)

Use i cup for a sinkful of water or !/2 cup for 1/2 sinkful of water - scrub with brush and let produce soak for 15 minutes. Rinse well with water and dry produce.

You probably loose a little nutrition but it's nice to have clean, dry produce when you want to eat some.
