Wow, your story sounds a lot like mine. I've been struggling with Depression my whole life, and a horrible first marriage didn't help! I think all the things you are doing are really good. And I've been doing UT for about 4 months now and I do think it is a helpful part of my routine. The things that have worked for me are:
-- Spiritual practice (any meaningful spiritual work)
-- Sticking with a daily schedule (I need structure in my life)
-- Managing the house and kids so that they're not causing too much chaos.
-- Exercise (the more the better)
-- Staying away from wheat, alcohol, Sugar and anything artificial
-- Eating lots of healthy fats (including saturated fats like butter, which I realize are not generally approved of)
-- Eating small healthy snacks all day long to avoid blood Sugar swings
-- Staying away from hormonal treatments (birth control)
-- Taking probiotics
-- UT (just started 4 months ago, but it makes me feel stronger in general...and I haven't been sick since I started, so that must mean something good!)
