Put rice in strainer and rinse it clean. If you don't have a strainer. Put the rice in a bowl or pot and add cold water. Swish the water around until it gets cloudy, then release the water. Do this untill the water is clear (three times is decent).
Next, put more water in the bowl or pot with rice. LEt it soak for 30 minutes. After this,, pour water out and rinse once more. Now, it should cook a bit like white rice. Make sure the water is simmering, not boiling or barely hot.
