Hmm. I think that it's typical (even today) for most docs to prescribe Antibiotics - they're pretty much still viewed as medical "candy" to cure all ailments, although that view is changing in the U.S. somewhat. It was just the cure all for everything when you were a kid (me too). So it's no surprise your doc prescribed one for you then. I think my doc would balk at prescribing anything weirdly out of the ordinary. Don't know what it's like in Russia, but here docs are so overloaded with patients that it's almost impossible for them to keep up with what's new in treating diseases. I'm just glad she's willing to listen to me and try to work with me - I would really love it though, if she actually took an interest in learning more about candida herself.
