Low Blood Pressure, Candida Infection, Depression, Chronic Fatigue, Miscarriage, Acne, Epstein Barr Virus Re-Occurrence, Rapid weight gain, Ovarian Cysts, Infertility, Low Body Temperature
So, in a nutshell, above mentioned is where I come from, more or less in order.
I have diabetes in my family, so I suspect I am slightly insulin resistant. I have always been the fattest sibling.
I have stopped eating bread for the last 6 years, (occasionally I slip) because I have a severe reaction to all wheat products, including Rye. First my mouth palate swells, then I get a sharp pain under my ribs, if that progresses, I get a pain shooting up to the opposing shoulder, aggravated by breathing. This has not happened since I cut bread out of my diet. But I experienced years and years of debilitating pain and discomfort before I realized the pain was linked to bread consumption.
Since I have managed to make more changes to my lifestyle:
I stopped using Anti-Depressants (which I have been using on and off since the age of 14 - I am 35 now), because I suspect Liver problems - I developed liver spots on my face.
Started supplementing with hemp oil and recently added Fish Oil.
I have stopped dieting (Hallelujah!), and am listening to the needs of my body.
I have started regularly eating Breakfast for the first time in my life. Because I am naturally repelled by food first thing in the morning (being a nocturnal eater), I have managed to solve it by consuming the juice of one grapefruit, one lemon, one orange and sometimes add an apple or carrots. The juice I mix with an emulsion of one egg yolk and one tablespoon of Hemp Seed Oil.
Recently I have started adding Turmeric and Cayenne Pepper to the Juice/Egg/Oil mix.
I have cut all refined sugar from my diet - no more sugar in my coffee: that was the largest source of my sugar consumption.
I have stopped using Perfume, and Lotions and Creams (hormone disruptors). I make our own soap.
I have taken up a regular exercise routine.
Recently I have stopped drinking milk in my coffee.
The biggest concerns to me, are: Ovarian Cysts, Depression and Fatigue
The Depression is much better since taking Hempseed Oil and watching my diet for insulin spikes.
Fatigue is better since Depression is better, and improved even more after supplementing with turmeric and cayenne pepper. Since introducing Turmeric to my diet, the liver spots on my face is fading, and after a nice Herx, the Candida Infestation cleared. My tongue is now pink instead of whitish...cutting out sugar also improved the Candida, but Turmeric had a more pronounced effect.
I used Castor oil packs a few times for the ovarian cysts.
I take Castor oil once a month for parasite removal (turmeric also helps with this apparently)
I am ovulating at the moment, and for the first time in months I am not bleeding severely. I do, how ever, have some very light spotting.
Now I am looking at supplementing with Iodine, as it seems most cysts are related to an iodine deficiency. I have also read that ovarian cysts are almost always linked to insulin resistance. For last mentioned I am using Turmeric and would like to keep on using it, because I am experiencing tremendous positive effects from taking it.
I started taking Kelp, but have read about the negative aspects of using Sea Kelp as a source of Iodine.
Some people say Lugols, some say Magnascent. I called my pharmacy/health store, but they do not stock ANY iodine supplement except Kelp.
