The difference in my second and third flushes that I think helped immensely was massaging my lower abdomen(and getting my fiance to do it as well as I lay down). It caused an immense amount of gurgling, and I could almost literally feel things pop and move. Balling up your fist, and just kneading down in til you feel a gurgle is the best way to feel the waters on how to do it. Dont tense the stomach, the muscles aren't want you want to massage. Start on your right side, then progress to your left.
