I agree with you, but it's very hard or impossible for most people to completely avoid omega 6's in the modern world and still live a normal life.
If all your meat is gras fed, your fish is wild, poultry is free or omega 3-enriched etc. then you probably don't need much fish oil. Maybe this is different in some other countries, but where I live I don't have the money or the time to do this.
We strive for the 1:1 ratio of omegas 3 and 6. The tough reality is that most people need to megadose fish oil to get even close to this ratio, even if they eat fairly healthy.
