The food we eat directly influences the microflora species we harbor... along with their form and function.

This is why different people, on different diets, will harbor microflora that will vary widely in species supported, and then form and function of those species.

The microflora are a very large part of our biological communications system at the cellular level between our living body and the living environment... the horizontal gene transfer of the microflora between themselves and the body's cells playing a part in all of this; perhaps a large part.

Genetic *change* is unavoidable, inevitable, and constantly occuring from any environmental input... be it the air we breathe, water we drink, food we eat, exercise or lack thereof we get, social interactions, gravitational pull, sun, etc.

The *rate* of change in today's environments, which has been exponentially accelerated, with increasingly heavier use of ubiquitous wireless and other EM pollution, chemical pollution, Genetically-Modified pollution, etc... is what is driving these larger issues such as the declining health of this planet, and all of the living things on it.
