It sounds like you didn't get your TSH measured. I'm so sorry you were treated that way. One quick way to see if your thyroid is up to snuff is to take your temperature mid-to-late afternoon for several days. Figure out your pattern. Should be 98.6 F or 37 C. Another method is to take your temp first thing in the morning, but I've had better luck knowing my temp when I'm up and moving about. If you're running cool, then you'll have a target to look at. Could involve both your thyroid and adrenals, since you've struggled after delivering your baby. If you want to go further, I believe ZRT Labs offers their blood spot tests to Canadians, but you'll have to pay out-of-pocket. Check in at Stop the Thyroid Madness if you're curious whether your symptoms match others with low thyroid function. A combo temperature test for both thyroid and adrenal function is under "Discovery Step 2, Test 4." Best wishes!
