I had good days and bad days with the Mirena, which became more severe the longer I had the Mirena inside me.Towards the end I suffered several seizures and was hospitalised a few times.Numerous tests for all sorts of potential illnesses came back negative and it was only when I had the Mirena removed just over a year ago that I got my life back.
Please try not to worry too much about having MS- I was so convinced that I had a life-threatening disease that I married my long-term partner and made my Will!!
I agree with nile and think it's the silicone in Mirena that causes all these weird side-effects. There are too many similarities for it to be a coincidence.Doctors worldwide appear to be either clueless or unwilling to argue against a multi-national drug company.
But the truth will come out in the end.
