My fibromyalgia-getting better all the time

Ive spent quite a bit of time reading posts on curezone and felt like it was time to contribute something to the community...

Id like to explain my journey so that others can benefit from it. In the winter of 06 I began having sharp pains in my right arm and into the fingers along with intense pressure in the head. The trigger for these symptoms is still unknown to me. I remember that i was sick w a cold at the time, so my immune system was low, but i cant think of any recent trauma that would have precipitated it. Over the next 6 months the pain progressed to soreness throughout the body including tmj, daily headaches, tightness and soreness in leg muscles, upper back, arm, and especially the muscles around the neck and shoulders. I went to orthopedists, neurologists, rheumatologists, and several other specialists and came away with no pain relief and a prescription for lyrica. Not wanting to take it, I went to half a dozen chiropractors over probably 50 different sessions without much relief. I did this for nearly a year trying various supplements. I had started a new job which i ended up losing due to "brain fog", (being that it was difficult for me to think). I began going to practitioners that specialized in muscle bodywork. I got a lot of relief from that and theorized that if i did enough of it then my structural and postural problems would be corrected, thereby alleviating the muscle pain. I had already tried physical therapy to correct this but the stretching and exercises exacerbated the soreness as much as helped it. The bodywork and rolfing worked ok for relieving pain, but only for a few hours to a day at most. I went to close to 40 sessions over a year and continued to see chiropractors. I got temporary structural change and some pain relief. It was then that i learned about craniosacral and after a dozen sessions had much better body structure. After every session the pain would be gone for a day or two and gradually return over the next week or two. At this time i also started experimenting with different diets and supplements. I was taking probably 20 different supplements but saw negligible improvement. I also tried Dr. Vickery's protocol which is based on the assumption that poor digestion of proteins and amino acids causes dysfunction. His protocol includes supplements along with a strict Elimination Diet which i did for 3 months. Through muscle testing and the diet i learned that i had gluten sensitivities and candida. Thru the diet i got relief from my rosacea and complete remission of my psoriasis, but no relief of the pain. I contacted vickery over the phone and he recommended i try COQ10 w pqq and some Protease enzymes. His explanation was that he had had good results w the COQ10 since it helps the mitochondria in the cells, the pqq heals the nerves, and the protease enzymes would break down the biofilm matrix protecting viruses residing in my body so my immune system could destroy them. Within weeks i felt much much better. I had a great improvement in pain! It seemed as tho id reached another plateau tho, since the pain didnt continue to go away but was better than before as long as i kept taking the coq10 pqq. This confirmed for me that hidden pockets of viruses in the body likely play a part in FM along with dysfunction on a cellular level. I tried more supplements to see if i could balance my immune system but wasnt successful... the next breakthrough i had was 6 months later when i went to a bioset practitioner. Bioset uses meridian testing with a Voll machine to test for everything from food sensitivities to viruses and heavy metals in the body. Its able to detect organ dysfunction and break it down to the contributing causes. The practitioner then does something with the meridians in the body to undo energy blockages and sensitivities. My first testing revealed scores of imbalances in different body systems and probably 50 food sensitivities . Over 6 sessions she cleared my sensitivities and i felt better each session, paralleling the results that she showed me on her computer. Using digestive enzymes and homeopathics i was able to balance many of my body systems and as a result felt better. This reached another plateau tho, so I started doing some research on enzymes and bought some serrapeptase and nattokinase enzymes that reduce fibrin and proteins in the blood. The results were amazing...the pain was completely gone for several hours after taking them- the great thing is you cant overdose on them, the bad thing is they arent cheap. This led me to believe that much of what causes the pain is proteins in the blood making the blood "thick" and causing lack of oxygen to the cells resulting in dysfunction in the cells, including acid accumulation. This in turn permits pathogens such as candida and viruses to thrive. The great thing about enzymes is they also are useful for killing candida and viruses directly. I noticed, however that when i ate purely vegetarian meals i felt good, when i ate meat i got tense and sore and had to take proteases to undo the pain (from the proteins stacking up in the blood). Eating gluten also gave me a similar reaction that only homeopathics would relieve. This led me to study the liver which is responsible for cleaning the blood. I also concluded that gut permeability existed but only as a result of insufficient blood flow to heal the lining on a daily basis... I did a Liver Flush and noticed another drop in my pain. The first 3 flushes made the pain levels go down more each time...id stopped using the systemic enzymes and was only using digestive enzymes now. My diet was clean but not strict, and as long as i took gluten enzymes i was able to consume gluten in larger and larger amounts after each flush, symptom free. The liver i believe is responsible for many food sensitivities like gluten/casein...I started weight lifting again 3 times a week pain free and for several months had basically NO pain at all, even while returning to my old diet, although my Psoriasis did come back in a few small patches. However several days after my 4th flush the pain came back and i now have to use the systemic enzymes again to feel good. Two more flushes have not improved the soreness much, and my rosacea returned after the last flush. Thats where im at today...28 years old, taking systemic and digestive enzymes on a so-so diet. My condition has improved unbelievably...last year i even worked for the forest service rappelling out of helicopters into forest fires- with a diagnosed condition of "fibromyalgia"- not bad huh? At this point im convinced that low energy levels and soreness are due to two simple things- massive amounts of toxins circulating in the body and poor delivery of nutrients and oxygen to cells. The systemic enzymes help thin the blood and eat fibrin, increasing delivery of nutrients which allows the mitochondria to produce energy. Elimination of pathogens and candida thru herbs is vital- they steal nutrients and add to the toxin load. At this point i think that improvement of liver dysfunction and gallbladder (including poor digestion of fats) is key to reducing toxins. Other things im looking into are mycoplasmas, energy medicine to reprogram dna, and immune system modulation using products like colostrum. I think its possible that some sort of poorly studied pathogen like mycoplasmas could be involved, and my immune system might be unbalanced since my mild Psoriasis and mild rosacea are both considered auto immune conditions- possibly results of inflammatory markers from an unbalanced immune system. What would cause an overstimulated immune system? Most likely some sort of pathogens, (parasites, mycoplasmas etc). This could also involve vaccinations, and its obvious that somehow the liver and digestive systems are involved. Its all very interesting to me, and ill consider myself completely cured when i am 100 percent pain free and able to eat the SAD diet enough to be interactive in social situations. I continually strive to maximize my gains with the smallest expenditure of money possible. I dont want to be that guy that takes 20 supplements a day and spends 700 a month to keep feeling good... Sorry for the mega post, but i thought that someone might be able to glean some useful info or compile it into a theory.
