I was thinking of supplementing with Magnesium for Hypercalcemia. What that be a good idea?
That would address the symptoms, but not the cause.
How do you correct Hypercalcemia?
Depends on the cause. A common cause is hyperparathyroidism, which can often be treated successfully with vitamin D3.
If the problem is from pseudohyperparathyroidism from excess phosphorus ingestion then you would need to decrease your phosphorus intake. Primary dietary sources are red meats, dairy and colas.
Then there are still other less common causes such as malignancies. So how to address it all depends on the cause.
