To be on the safe side, whole food vitamins and powders that are well balanced is a far better way to go.

I also take a whold food vitamin C, called Super C, by Twinlab. has acerola, rose hips, rutin, bioflavoniods,and more. And since it is potent ( 1-2 teaspoons is about 2,000 mg. of Vit. C) I mix it in water -a huge 16 oz tumble glass and sip on it thoughout the entire day, than I get a slow steady ingestion, and it's not a shock to my body. it is a bit bitter, I usually add a pinch of stevia to it.
