Very well put. High serum calcuim, excess iron, lack of bile. Definite contributors to constipation. Foods higher in calcium make me more constipated. Calcium supplements are one of candida's favorite friends because it buffers acid. Being too alkaline i found out causes constipation as well. I realized that friendly bacteria does best in a slightly acidic environment--hence the name "ACID"dophilus. Eating a slighlty acid forming diet seems to push the bowels through faster..as well as eating foods that promote bile.
