I drink a lot of water already (a gallon a day)...I will add some salt. I am going to reduce the potassium Iodide from like 2.5mg to 1.5mg a day. I will also only eat 2 brazil nuts a day since I also eat a lot of sardines, eggs and tuna fish (occasionally) which are all high in selenium.
I chose to reduce the potassium Iodide because gaining weight like this scares me especially where I feel like it is totally out of my control AND I am doing it to myself. The elemental Iodine didn't seem to have this effect on me but it also didn't increase my temperature like the potassium Iodide did. I am also not taking *that* much Iodine compared to the people on these boards. I would probably rather just take the armour thyroid and take 1 kelp tablet a day and be done with it! I don't like blindly self medicating not knowing wtf is going on. If I didn't feel better mentally I would stop the iodine.
