my daughter and i came to the same conclusion. she remembers a good checkup with no brushing when she was little. the dentist scolded her and she decided to "do the right thing" and brush every day. next checkup she had a cavity. hhmmm
so i too have not been brushing my teeth, just flossing after eating and rinsing with water and once a week a light brushing and gum massage with baking soda or borax. white teeth, no cavities, no pain. i think brushing daily removes the soft matrix trying to form to remineralize the teeth. and yes, you cant be eating and drinking Sugar and phosphoric acid all day and do this, for sure.
i am free of doctors and dentists. barring any unforeseen accidents/incidents, of course.
