Since the gluten reactions are sometimes not immediately obvious you might not be able to tell if the change in diet is helping. I've read that a person needs to stay strictly gluten free for at least 3 months. Also staying gluten free may also help in clearing up whatever you have since the gluten is high in carbohydrates. People also have become addicted to the opoids in gluten (and casein) so these people feel worse because of the withdrawal symptoms for a few weeks.
