Whats a good substitute, then? I used to eat one organic brown rice cake before I tried the coconut pancakes/bread. Funny thing is, the rice cake only has a few carbs more(but NO sugar) than the coconut bread/pancake (but less fiber, SUGAR, fat, and protein). I spread organic almond butter mixed with rice protein powder (to form a spread by adding a smidge of water) on the rice cake...I'm going to try to use coconut butter instead of the almond butter today.
Is eating 1-2 rice cakes ok?
