Re: Old vs New Protocol Effectiveness
First of all I have to correct a screw up I made. The lethal dose of chlorite is 100 mg/kg.
I got to thinking about this and realized that I had been doing research on the lowest observable adverse effect levels and ended up dropping a decimal place.
Dr. Hesselink has medical training. He may be able to explain how the digestive system works and start you on a path back to digestive health.
A registered nutritionist and a gastroenterologist may also be worth consulting with.
In addition, there are several others that, in spite of having no medical training, have found things that work for them. It is possible that one of those will also work for you. If you follow this approach you will need to keep a journal to track your progress. Before trying anything you should ask how it will help your digestion. If you don't get a straight answer, move on to the next one.
It seems like there are some extremes. On one hand you have those that promote eating everything raw and letting your body digest what it can. On the other hand terminally ill people, and baby's, don't have a well developed digestive system and they eat baby food. I suspect a balanced diet lies somewhere in between those extremes.
Health issues can be complex. The human body is complex, so I guess this is not really surprising. Sometimes it seems the more you dig into what the problem can be, the more things get confused. Look at this as an educational opportunity and keep digging. You may end up with better health and an education.
