I paid a small fortune for 2 porcelain crowns. They are hard and can cause cracks in the opposite tooth that they bite down on.

I eventually had both crowned teeth extracted. At that time, I learned that the dentist had left amalgam fillings under the crowns.

I feel for you, dental problems are no fun. Good luck, whatever you choose.
