Re: Feeling Pressure on Thyroid

The thyroid expands in order to provide more surface tissue to trap Iodine from the bloodstream. If your thyroid has been accustomed to Iodine scarcity, it may swell to trap more iodine.

Another cause of swelling is the detoxing bromide can get stuck from not getting mobilized out fast enough.

1. Are you both doing the salt loading protocol to keep the toxins moving out of the thyroid?

2. Have you stopped Iodine every 5 days (pulse-dosing)for 48 hours so that the body will get a chance to detox the bromide that the iodine is displacing?

Not sure about the thyroid storm speculation--that would be measurable in blood tests, not clinical exam.

Write back, okay?
