I started copper detox 2 weeks back with zinc 44 mgs every meal and added molybdenum later. I am upto about 200 mcgs per meal of molybdenum. I've NOT been maintaining good sleep times and the best diet during this detox. Looking back, some of it could be because of the insomnia from the detox. I've crashed a bit and stopped zinc for a couple of days. I've been crashing easily because of the detox. My muscle spasms (dystonia) got worse though and my obsessive mind/racing thoughts... i think its a symptom of copper flushing out. How about taking non-stimulating glandulars for Adrenals?
I do have a poor liver function (gilbert's syndrome-high bilirubin) and I don't think thats helping. I think I should have started with supporting the liver (methylation and sulfation?).
I started NAC 300mgs 4 days back and tried to up to 600 mgs last night and I felt a little bit of panicky feeling and like I was hypersensitive. So I am backin off it.
Is there anything better than NAC?
I am gonna hit restart and start with the basics, the diet in the book and supporting the adrenals. I will get my serum copper and ceruloplasmin tested soon.
If cost is not an issue, is hair analysis test better or these above tests?
I am pretty sure I have higher levels of estrogen, which is also present in men. I still have to research that whole thing.
