Alpha Lipoic Acid and Copper

I don't understand why Cutler suggest not taking Alpha Lipoic Acid when there is too much copper in the system. ALA creates stable complexes with copper and is capable of chelating them out of the body.

There are several studies which clearly show that ALA does increase the bile flow and helps detoxifying the liver. I cannot understand why these fact promote copper toxcity.

Is Cutlers suggestion based on rising of copper in hair mineral analyse and if this is ture, Mr Cutler doesn't understand why copper is rising when taking ALA. It shows that hidden copper now comes out of the storages sites, nothing more.
