Re: The 'STEAM' treatment : my improvement in less than a week. (PICS)
Well I don't know exactly how long it will take but if we have a chronic peeling cycle is that there is a problem which prevents lips from healing.
My condition, like a lot of people here, started after a chapped lips period in which I began to pull my lips out, but instead of waiting, we kept going to mutilate our lips, their condition became worse because of all chemicals we applied on and swept away even more our skin.
We came through the pulling out limit and our situation needs more help than someone who has just chapped lips, a little cut in normal lips which would leave by its own.
According to me, it is necessary to have these kind of flakes, but not for a long time. I trully think that if the optimal conditions are put together, as heat and humidity, we should not have a lot of peeling cycles but, in the contrary, just a little bit.
Normally, a traditional peeling cycle, without any chemical, lasts about one week or more, it depends of the upper and lower lip which are not irrigated in the same quantity, and considering of course we don't play with flakes.
Our lips are severely damaged, so I suppose it would take maybe 3 or 4 peeling cycles to get a decent result.
As you see, my lips have really changed, even if I confess the situation made that there was a huge difference between the two pictures.
I would like to add that some parts of my lower lip are waterproof and don't turn white during a steam session and I have no problem of resiliency.
I will take some pictures during the experience, of course !
