Thanks MST for the info on fasting recovery of metabolism time. I didn't realise it was shorter for a shorter fast. interesting. I may just try a shorter one prior to my trip.
In regard to eating LFRV on my trip. I will be eating regularly for most of my trip but there will be a spell when we are in NYC where I know I will find it difficult. Our group will be eating in restaurants at this time, and I know they will go vegan but that is about it. So I will conceed to that. Anyway, I'm not concerned with a weekend of higher fat as in the long run it all works out. I just hate the feeling I get after injesting salty fatty food though. I'll do my best to avoid it but if it is anything like our past trips I'm sure I'll indulge once there.
In regard to detox and ketosis I think I must be a little confused. I thought that ketosis was what was getting rid of the toxins by burning the fat. I didn't think detox took place before this. Care to enlighten this novice on how this takes place?
