Blastocystis??????? Please help!

Hello! I am new to this forum, although I have been keeping up with the posts. I was diagnosed with blastocystis 4 months ago and have been treated 3 times with no success. I have been told by several doctors, including specialists, that blastocystis doesn't cause symptoms, and now I am wondering if blastocystis is the appropriate diagnosis. I understand that Dr. Caihill has diagnosed a few of you as having E. Hystolytica and that his treatment works. My doctor is interested in hearing more about your experiences, if you would be so kind to share. I know that shrimpy's treatment involved tinidazone and paramomycyn. Were the rest of you also diagnosed with E. Hystolytica and given the same treatment? If so, how long have you been symptom free. Many thanks. Brenda Tweet
