Re: Sears water distiller-taste etc...

Hi 17163:

I bought the Sears distiller last Nov. Works well. the water taste is different and takes some getting used to. Its basically flat. I'm thinking that all home distilled water tastes like that. Haven't measured the PH on it yet. The water where I live is very hard and I had to buy a Brita type filter to pre-treat the water before putting it in the unit. Otherwise the cakey accumulation was causing the machine to break down after only 3 weeks. My one small complaint about the distiller is the amount of noise it makes. Its a constant buzzing in the background. That, along with the water-fountain hum of my automatic sprouter takes some getting used to. I tell my husband that that's what good health sounds like.

PS. Don't forget that MH tells us to mix the distilled water with fruit juice or herbal tea or a colloidal mineral when taking. (See 108pages, section on Water).

Take care,
SBG
