One way they put it on the adrenal forums is to say that adrenals got weak when thyroid function was suboptimal. Then, thyroid couldn't be made optimal without adrenals being optimal. Once adrenals are optimal, and thyroid is optimal, adrenal support can be minimized because its continuing health relies on high functioning thyroid.
