I decided to look for old pre-ec pics of my lips and it looks like my ec is not actually on my outer lips, rather it seems to be the former-wet part.
Here is a pre-ec picture of my lips:
If you look closely the separation between my outer lip and lower lip seems pretty low, but thats normal for people with regular lips. When my mouth is closed the inner lip is inside and the outer lip is outside.
Now heres a picture i took today:
The reason i took this today is because the crusts are at their smallest now, they have peeled off recently and I have trimmed off the excess so you can really see exactly where they are forming. If you compare the two pictures it looks like almost none of my outer lip is effected by ec. its only the inner lip. however, my lips seem to have enlarged and the area the crusts form is no longer my inner lip. when i close my lips together the crusts are still exposed, they are not inside my mouth.
its kinda hard to explain. but basically what worries me is that i have bigger problems than crusts forming/peeling lips. my lips are bigger than they used to be and i feel like that is holding back the ability for them to heal. I am trying to leave them alone, but how can they ever go back to normal, can leaving them alone make them "shrink" back to regular size?
If not, if the lips do go back to normal skin production, when my mouth is closed part of my inner-moist lip will be exposed?
I hope someone can explain this to me
btw, heres another picture i took today, of my lips wet:
