This is probably my second to last post here. I feel like I should be able to recover soon, then after that I will post my treatment plan. The reason why I have been posting so aggressively lately is because I know how much misinformation there is out there among doctors and specialists who have never gone through this themselves. I also realize that many of you may not think what I am saying is applicable to your situation or that you can't be bothered with it right now. That is fine. My posts will be here in the future to search for if you feel like you have exhausted your current treatment strategy.
To get ourselves out of sympathetic dominance (fright or flight), we shouldn't really try to suppress the symptoms but instead let them surface and play out. The reason why we are in this situation is because during the stressful time, our freeze response was activated and we suppressed what we were feeling. So the solution is to let the feelings during the trauma surface and release.
Here is what the release looks like from a polar bear:

Animals never get PTSD because they don't have minds like ours that will suppress feelings. They just go with the flow.
Here is what it looks like in humans:

This is completely a subconscious process. So, when you are feeling like you are getting worse, consider that maybe it's just suppressed feeling coming to the surface and that you are actually getting better.
*I should note that I have tried Berceli's TRE exercises and don't think they are the answer but you might want to look into them to feel what the process is like. Ultimately, though, you want the process to be induced subconsciously and not from exercises.
