Daniel,

Its good that you heard back from him and hes still doing well. If you could email him and ask whether he thinks that leaving his lips alone cured them, or he thinks it was eliminating an allergen.

I believe I read that he healed because he eliminated an allergen, so that wouldnt really count as just being cured from this leave it alone method. Thanks.
