Its an indian cooking spice (very yellow in colour). I bought mine from an indian grocer as you can get large bags pretty cheap but I think even a supermarket would have it. Alternatively I have heard that you can buy the active ingredient (curcumin) as a vitamin but I think you have to make sure it comes with pepperine as its the pepper that makes the curcumin bioavailable......I just found it easy to add about a small teaspoon of the powder to a cup, a bit of ground pepper a shake on cinnamon and some honey (to hide the taste) in a cup and add some hot water to dissolve, a little milk and drink it up. You can google the health benefit. I believe its v good for the liver which is why it helps balance hormones.
