Strongyloides - no one will treat me

Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with strongyloides about a year and a half ago after arriving back from Latin America ill, and 18 months of being told that I didn't need to see a tropical specialist (!)
I was given a two-day course of Ivermectin in Feb 2011, then a three day course after gaining a second opinion in July 2011.
I still have a distended abdomen, extreme weakness, joint & muscle pain, exhaustion, confusion, IBS symptoms and an intolerance to almost all foods (confirmed by blood test as well as elimination diet) with no signs of improvement. No one will treat me anymore and I'm at my wit's end! Doctors are now calling it 'chronic fatigue' and 'a question of time'. It's been 2 1/2 years - does anyone know whether I should continue believing them or start my own treatment? If so, what would people recommend? I don't really have much faith in the medical profession anymore, on the other hand I'm quite wary of assuming full responsibility for something arguably quite dangerous!

Thanks,

Twelfth House
