I just want to echo what grizz is saying. Its not just weight loss, although that is very important for heavy people, its also about inlammation. I was wheat free for over a year until I ate some rolls on Thanksgiving. I was an addict fallinoff the wagon. Foods that cause inflammation include wheat, refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup and MSG. I have a friend, 42 years old, who weighs 350 pounds. He has sleep apnea. His doctor rescribed a C-PAP machine to keep him warned and alive at night. Sleep apnea is one way the body cries out for help, somethingis terribly wrong. Still, I hope surgery will be the last resort not the first choice.
