I would strongly suggest that anyone suffering from receding gums immediately go see an experienced periodontist. I tried oil pulling and several of these other alternative methods. I finally went to see a periodontist. DON'T believe any of the horror stories about gum grafting. It is a common procedure, done in the office under a local antesthesia and it is NOT painful. If you want to hear from other people who were worried about this very common procedure, Google "Gum graft goes fine Relax if you need one"."
