Re: Best Enzymes to improve digestion

Hi Dave,

My apologies for only now realizing you posted a question to me.

I have used a wide variety of enzyme products, and have found all the major brands to be reputable and effective. For generics, I tend to use Swanson.com a lot, especially when they have a sale going on.

For systemic enzymes I like serrapeptase formulations of 120,00 units of activity dosage. Mixtures of enzymes are great for assisting with digestion.

I use digestive enzymes with all my meals.

Systemic enzymes such as serrapeptase need to be taken on an empty stomach so that they are absorbed by the blood stream to heal tissues throughout the body.

It sounds like your digestion really needs some healing.

I recommend you check into the use of glutamine powder to heal your g.i. tract. It works very well.

Healing a g.i. tract generally requires care and time over a long period of time - 8 or 9 months, but is critical to your long term well being.

Take care and Happy New Year
