Re: Liver caffeine clearance
Hi Handymanz,
I used to have the same problem, but these days I can sleep 8 hours every night. And the only change I've made was the vitamin D.
As
http://aptarticle.com/health/how-10049-treat-vitamin-D-deficiency.html
explains, you might be deficient in vitamin D, if you sleep poorly, if you have insomnia, poor sleep.
I suggest you treat your vitamin D deficiency, and you're going to sleep great!
And, to be on the safe side, limit coffee, cocoa, tea, and caffeniated drinks to 'mornings'.
Are you a coffee drinker? Stop it; it's not good for you. Then it should have little or no effect on your ability to sleep 8 hours every night.
Do you eat a lot? It's not good for you either. STOP eating at 7 p.m., and you will be able to sleep your 8 hours every night.
Lots of doctors don't know (or pretend not to know) why it's increasingly hard for you to get enough sleep.
When he says your liver enzymes (AST, ALT) are 24 U/L, what he says is irrelevant. It's just a red herring. He just wants to distract you.
And don't ever ask him about your vitamin D level, because then he will use a med lab (at your expense) to prove that you're normal/OK, when you're not OK.
I hope this helps.
