Cheilitis means inflammation of the lips. I only feel burning if my lips are really dry or if some peeling skin is yanked off. I would say I have more inflammation on lower lip since only a small triangular area and thin line across on vermillion border is affected on upper lip. I am guessing my lower lip is a little swollen since my lip looks lopsided.
