I just brush my teeth normally. Ever since I started this treatment I have. I used an electric toothbrush, and obviously you have to make sure your toothbrush doesnt brush your lips.
But even when I was in the beginning and my lips were building up, the buildup would really stay on until it was ready to come off. And most the of the time my buildup exfoliated when I was rinsing my mouth out gently, after I brushed. I would just cup water in my hand and gently rinse out my mouth and that when most of the natural exfoliation occurred. My feeling is, if water just touching your lips causes you buildup to come off then its ready to come off.
Keep in mind that I NEVER allowed flowing water to touch my lips. Whether it be in the shower, from the sink etc.
I notice a lot of people on here complaining that their buildup is coming off from water flowing over them in the shower etc. DUH!!! When water is flowing, even gently, it has power that will force your build up off. So I never allowed flowing water to hit my lips.
