I have found that any good probiotic I use (including water kefir) causes some die-off & temporary inflammation due to that die-off. The inflammation is what triggers my GERD, so I just have to start slowly. Just as aside John Douillard at http://www.lifespa.com
has the best explanation for causes of GERD/acid reflux I've ever read. Mine turns out to be sluggish bile which I correct by eating beet/carrot salad w/breakfast & lunch. I know many candida suffers can't eat root veggies, but for me the extra bile produced seems to kill off some of the candida.
