Re: Summer Vacation? anyone?

I was pretty bad 2 years ago.

I own my own company, and worked 3/4 of the time for months (although I only committed to 1/2). I also worked from home, so that provided flexibility. What I found is I rested/slept a lot the first month or two. After that I was good, and I could rest the days or hours I needed to rest, and catch up later. Getting a short nap at 2pm was great. Snacking healthily throughout the day was great.

It was particularly good for finding out the root causes of the issues.

Going fulltime after that was fine, I felt good, except I missed the afternoon nap.

Shifting gears even higher into hardcore work mode drained me; but that was cause we had a really hard run. But that's done, so now gearing down again to say 35 hours a week and enjoying it!

Taking a week or two off is good, I've done that and it's nice, but not as good as integrating it into your life. Taking a month break after you've plateaud on your healing is good tho; you'll know when a "month's vacation is all you need". That being said, it's really hard to get it :D
