Garlic is one of my best kept secrets in the clinic, it also contains plenty of pre-biotics, a little known fact. Eating raw garlic creates a shift in the mileau (environment) of your small and large bowel, this can temporarily increase or decrease bowel motions. The golden rule in my clinic is this - if something works for you then don't stop! if it aggravates, then cut back. If it continues to aggravate even on a low-dose, then simply stop.
